It's obvious that we love all things bridal. What's more, we love our brides- past, present and future. There's no greater joy than receiving photos from our brides from their wedding day, beaming with joy and looking stunning in their perfect gown. Our blog is meant to be a tribute to our past brides, a guide full of helpful and fun tips for our present brides, and a source full of sneak-peaks for our future brides. We absolutely love that our brides are willing to take risks and put their trust in us. We are constantly on the hunt for new and different designs and ideas to help our brides stand apart from the rest.

Andrea & Her Isabella- A Match Made in Heaven!

Simply put, we're obsessed with this bride. During her fittings we would rush up to see how she looked and each time we were speechless for words... there's only so many times you can say "GOOOORGEOUS!". Andrea chose Elizabeth Fillmore's Isabella gown because of its sexy softness and cool modern lines. The modern take on the traditional sweetheart neckline really put it over the edge for us when she put it on. She embodied what we love about this dress... sophisticated, modern, not afraid to take a chance while still maintaining some traditional elegance. And as if she hadn't knocked our socks off enough when we saw her at her last fitting, she pulled out her wedding shoes... Nicholas Kirkwood pumps that basically blew our mind. When you see the photos of Andrea and her groom, you will see what we mean. Andrea and Ian were married at the ultra cool Boehmer Restaurant on Ossington St. in Toronto. The day was captured so wonderfully by the very-talented photograpy duo- A Brit and A Blonde.

In her own words....

The Isabella stood out to me very early on in the dress finding process. The thing that initially caught my eye was the modified sweetheart. It has hard straight lines that really make it unique. Elizabeth Fillmore uses clean straight lines through out the gown's design and I absolutely loved how this made a strapless wedding dress look so innovative and modern. I chose the Isabella because it is so clean cut yet undeniably feminine.  She used italian lace which added a softness to the look as well. It was all very well balanced. It was really clear to me that Elizabeth Fillmore understands how to design for the woman's body- the low back, the synched waist, and the train gave an overall lengthening effect.  I also wore a cathedral veil which I loved. That to me just topped it all off. I absolutely loved my gown and I can't thank the girls at Mrs. Bridal enough for all of their help along the way.
