It's obvious that we love all things bridal. What's more, we love our brides- past, present and future. There's no greater joy than receiving photos from our brides from their wedding day, beaming with joy and looking stunning in their perfect gown. Our blog is meant to be a tribute to our past brides, a guide full of helpful and fun tips for our present brides, and a source full of sneak-peaks for our future brides. We absolutely love that our brides are willing to take risks and put their trust in us. We are constantly on the hunt for new and different designs and ideas to help our brides stand apart from the rest.

One Summer, Two Sisters.

Kelly Power

We've said it before and we'll say it again- if there is one thing that gets us even more excited than when one of our brides says "YES" to their perfect gown it's when her sister does too! That is exactly what happened to us last year with two very special brides. First, we met Dayna. Dayna was looking for a romantic yet sophisticated gown for her July 5th nuptials. She came with her Mom and sister Allison. They were such a pleasure to have in our shop- sweet, supportive, and stylish: triple threats! Dayna tried on several lace gowns but when she put on Amy Kuschel's "Correta" gown, that was it. It encompassed everything Dayna was looking for: stylish yet sophisticated, classic but with modern twists, and elegant but with some sexi-appeal as it fit her body beautifully. She paired her dress with a stunning birdcage headpiece and as you will see below, the look came together beautifully. Dayna's overall aesthetic for the wedding really complimented the venue- A private polo Farm in Alliston, Ontario. It was rustic chic with stunning details as captured by Jamie Coyle Photography.

We were delighted to see Dayna, her mom and her sister leave our store so happy; we were shocked (and delighted) when they returned not too long after... but this time for Allison! Yes, that's right, BOTH sisters were planning their weddings for the SAME summer (kudos to Mom for juggling that!). Again, they were a pleasure to have in our shop.

Allison too was drawn to lace but was looking for something a little more modern with clean lines. Again, armed with her amazing entourage, Allison finally stumbled upon her perfect gown- a stunning Rose and Delilah lace sheathe gown called "Daphne". Daphne is the epitome of fun, sexy and romantic. The raw edge capped sleeve made the dress unique and fun while the stunning plunge back made it oh-so-sexy. Just as her sister did, Allison brought her own touch to the dress by added a stunning headpiece to complete the overall look. Allison was married on September 6th 2014 at Knox College Chapel at University of Toronto and then the Fermenting Cellar in the historic distillery district. The romantic affair was captured beautifully by Magnolia Studios Photography.

Now, let's be honest, this type of situation does not always bode well for two sisters- competitiveness, jealousy, etc... can tend to sneak in. This could not be further from the case with Dayna and Allison. They were so unbelievably supportive of one another and never seemed to mind swapping turns in the spot-light. There was never a fitting where the other sister wasn't there giving the bride her full attention. Their love and complete joy for one-another is truly visible in their photos. Their weddings, although sharing the same summer, were so unique and equally stunning in their own right- just like Dayna and Allison themselves.
