Blog

It's obvious that we love all things bridal. What's more, we love our brides- past, present and future. There's no greater joy than receiving photos from our brides from their wedding day, beaming with joy and looking stunning in their perfect gown. Our blog is meant to be a tribute to our past brides, a guide full of helpful and fun tips for our present brides, and a source full of sneak-peaks for our future brides. We absolutely love that our brides are willing to take risks and put their trust in us. We are constantly on the hunt for new and different designs and ideas to help our brides stand apart from the rest.

Jamie & Matt: Boho Glam

Kelly Power

We love a bride that knows what she wants and sticks to her guns. Jamie was exactly that type of bride. She came in with her family in tow and knew that while she wanted them to love her choice, it was ultimately her choice and she was going to pick what she loved. That's exactly what happened when Jamie tried on a stunning sparkly number by Canadian designer Theia. She knew instantly that this was the look she was going for. There were modifications she knew she wanted to make to the dress so that it was unique to her style and taste. With the help of our amazing seamstress Larissa, the end result was a fit-like-a-glove, one of a kind, stunning gown.

In her own words....

I chose my sparkly Theia dress because it was more evening gown than bridal gown and I’m more eclectic than traditional. I knew the simple silhouette covered in the sequins and beading would give me that understated “wow” factor.

Jamie married Matt on June 6th 2014 at the Mill House in Picton, Ontario. Jamie described their wedding as "Bohemian Glamour....Elegant, yet casual." The wedding had a very relaxed, down to earth feel and was chalk-full of unique details like the 1001 origami cranes that created the ceremony backdrop and the giant dream catchers handmade by Jamie and her family. The amazing barn venue was filled with the scents of fresh flowers from fields near by and delicious food, the sounds of fantastic music and the love of wonderful family and friends. She described it as a "dream come true." Sounds like it to us!!
